UTR8 respects your privacy. This statement explains what personal data we handle in connection with utr8-group.com, why we handle it, and what you can ask us to do about it. Questions can go to email us.
What personal data is
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person — a name, an email address, a CV, or an online identifier such as an IP address.
What we collect
- When you visit the site. Our host records a standard server log for each request: IP address, page requested, time, browser and operating system, and the referring page. We may look at aggregate visit statistics derived from those logs.
- When you contact us. Whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address and the content of your message.
- When you apply for a role. Your CV and the career, education and contact details in it, together with any correspondence about your application.
This site sets no cookies, runs no advertising or tracking scripts, and loads no fonts or other resources from third parties. That is why you are not asked to dismiss a cookie banner. If you switch the site between dark and light, that choice is stored in your own browser and never sent to us.
How we collect it
Directly from you, when you visit the site or write to us. We do not buy personal data, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Why we process it, and on what basis
- To operate and secure the website — our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and free from abuse.
- To respond to you — our legitimate interest in answering correspondence.
- To assess an application — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in recruiting.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations where they apply to us.
Who else sees it
Email. We run our own mail servers. Messages you send us are delivered to infrastructure we operate; we do not use a third-party email service.
The website. This site is served by a hosting and content delivery provider based in the United States, acting on our instructions and bound to confidentiality. It operates the servers that answer requests for this site and produces the logs described above.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
Transfers
Our website is delivered from a global network, so a request may be served and logged outside your own country, including in the United States. Where that involves a transfer of personal data out of the EEA, it is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission under Implementing Decision 2021/914, and by our provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it: server logs for a short operational period, correspondence for as long as the matter is live, and recruitment material for 12 months after the process closes. After that it is deleted.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. Write to email us and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your data protection authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
